Hey!
Another great episode - I love reading the episodes, everything flows so nicely.
This was probably the first episode that I liked Abby. I liked her scenes with Mac (potential love interest?) as they were geniune and sweet. What made me turn on her side though, was her last scene with Damien. I like how she confronted him calmly before leaving town. Such a great, understated scene.
Penelope was great in the episode. She's such a force to be reckoned with. I can't believe that Catalina was the one that shot Patrick! Such a great, subtle twist that you threw in there. It's interesting that Pen is attempting to help her.
I love that Gail is preggers and it's bringing back memories and insecurities. I Can't wait to see what Adrian's reaction is. It should be interesting. I also loved the Cassie/Clifton scenes. They're so real after a huge hostage situation.
Another great read Michael! Dallas
PS: How was pride???

Thanks Dallas!
Abigail Jenkins has definitely come full circle in her life as a resident of Stone Creek, she used Mac as pretty much a sound board and it made sense because they have sort of been through the same thing, being attached to someone in town that people didn't like (Damien and Inez). When I initially planned Abigail's exit, I had every intention of Caitlyn being her last scene in the series. But it made more sense that since she bonded more with Damien and he was the one who lied to her, that her last scene would be with him. She was completely crushed when the truth came out. In the end, although she felt so attached, she felt sorry for him. Writing her scenes with Mac, I felt an instant connection between them, will anything happen in the future? Who knows. But for the time being, Abigail has left town and unlike Emmet, the canvas as well.
In past series I've always tried to utilize the older generation as much as possible. It is safe to say with this series it won't be much different. Penelope as a character is so strong and straight-forward that it's not hard to write her into a scene. The thing about Penelope though, as her story progresses, is that yes she is a force, but it's her empathy towards others that drive this force. Look for her cancer storyline to see a more, vulnerable Penelope. But as for now, Catalina is her main focus and she will do whatever she can to help her.
This whole episode is about full circle storylines. Gail being pregnant a second time has always been where this storyline was going. Because I've wanted to show emotions that mother's deal with after losing a child. I've watched one of my cousin's deal with three miscarriages and give up on having children and then getting pregnant again. It's a tough topic and for Gail, it won't be as easy for her. Having people in her life helping her is what she will need, but will she let them?
As for Pride, I didn't go and I was so dissappointed. Things just came up that rendered me unavailable to go. But next year I am definitely going. I'll be living in San Diego by then, so I'll probably do Pride in southern california.
