Hey Michael!
Sorry for the delay - I've been crazy busy lately with the French Open, then Pride, then my in-laws were staying with us. I finally got a chance to read the last few episodes, and in good time - Wimbledon starts Monday!
I love that Patrick finally knows about Charlene and Kevin. The fall out was even more surprising. No yelling. No dramatics regarding the affair itself. No, Patrick is just concerned about his campaign to become mayor and how the affair would look if it was exposed. If that doesn't say everything we need to know about Patrick, nothing will. Even though I understand her motive, I'm rather surprised that Charlene is leaving Kevin just so she can get her seat on council. Bold move. The last scene was shocking - really the shooter could be a number of people!
I love that Ryan's back and is helping Patrick. What a great twist making him almost use Marina for the good of his new profession. I already like Ryan more than before as the bad guy. Nice move with his character.
I also love that Mac quit working for Helen. The last few episodes, he's really come into his own so for his character it made sense not to be attached to a snake like Helen. He's shown that he has more good in him than that. I'm curious to see if he and Catalina hook up now. It seems like that could be the potential.
Speaking of, I love her and Audrey together. They're wicked to the core! But it's fun. I'm also loving Cassie's memory flash! Very well done!
You're in a great place now with the series - keep up the great work,
Dallas

Thanks for taking time out of your day to comment Dallas, it's so good to hear from you!
There is a system to the way Patrick and Charlene's marriage works and that scene showed the flaws, tremendously. This season, and hopefully next season we will get into their relationship and find all the dark secrets they share. Definitely a marriage of convenience there is so much more to show with them. It's different then a lot of marriages on the show because Patrick was never in love with Charlene when they married. He knows that she will never leave him, at least, not fully. I cannot wait to start fleshing their marriage out more.
Ryan's character was lacking, for most of the first season. When he first was taken off canvas, I went down a couple of routes with him. Turning Ryan's character into something dark and conniving was a risk and I'm just hoping it works. Is the nice guy we first met still in there? Who knows at this point, but I knew this was the only true way to get Marina back into his orbit. Nice guys seem to finish last and it looks like Ryan has caught on to that.
Mac has always been a strong character. I never intended him to be, in the beginning, he has no connections to the other characters besides Helen. I'm hoping that cutting his only true tie, working for Helen, will drop him into other orbits. He definitely doesn't just sit around as decoration for the other characters. He is a key figure in Catalina's life now that Isobel is gone. Broadening his connections is what will keep him on the canvas. Look forward to him meeting other people in Stone Creek as well!
Catalina and Audrey have clearly gotten themselves into a mess, especially with Cassie having memory flashes. Will they get what is coming to them? Stay tuned in, the next couple episodes are going to kick this storyline into high gear.
Thanks again for reading and leaving a comment Dallas.
BTW How was Pride? I'm going to one next weekend[:
