Thinking about what Ian Kiefer had told her about waiting until she was ready, Marina couldn’t help but smile. He was really trying and she knew it would only be time before she could full accept it.
But today wasn’t the day.
She could feel the warmth of the heater itching at her neck as she pulled her coat off. Walking towards her desk, Marina slipped into her chair and looked over the editorial picks for the week.
“We need to talk.” Came a voice from behind her.
Turning around Marina smiled at her boss. “Sure.”
“Listen I have been looking over your work and I think I have the perfect story for you to cover. I’m not one to get into the gossip side of reporting but I’m sure you are aware of a certain scandal going on right now.”
