Being in Canada, I always forget to incorporate Thanksgiving into my series (Canadians celebrate in early October), so this was a real treat to read. I love the family gatherings. I feel like this was a nice way to really grapes everyone's connections to each other as well. Penelope (which, btw, is what my hubby and I named our new car ... We got her in the spring!) telling everyone the past of the family was a nice touch, especially.
I'm still super intrigued by Ryan. His convo with Patrick was refreshing ... I feel like he is at his most honest with him. I still feel bad that he's basically using Natalie for sex ... But she has another already lined up with Oliver.
I loved the scene with Gillian and Damien, which I can't always say. Sometimes I find her too naiive, but not being with he family on the holiday really struck with me that she is an outcast. Her and D declaring war on Stone Creek was great and much sense.
I lovvvvvvvvvve that Mac an Taylor are brothers ... I didn't see the twist coming but it's great!
I have to stop here ... I'm on the IPAD and my fingers are too big to type well ... This had taken me 25 minutes lol
Great ep, can't wait for the next!

I loved that you named your car Penelope! Any history behind that? My last car I had I named it Eugene. Just because I have a fondness for dated names.
I have always wanted to make it known that the Wilkinson family is diverse and the heart of the series. Putting their history into the writing as much as possible has been a challenge though. I thought this was the perfect time to include it. Plus it will define the younger Wilkinson generation for the rest of the series.
Ryan and Natalie was the perfect setup and it has taken me a long time to wrinkle out the kinks. Just know in the future things will kick into high gear involving Ian/Marina/Ryan/Natalie and it will leave everyone scrambling.
The dynamic of Damian and Gillian has always been about Damian cutting the strings of her family. Gillian had never been really close to her parents anyways, but by bringing Damian to town things have only gotten worse. A more mature and determined Gillian will arise in the third season and she is going to be taking Stone Creek by the horns.
I've been trying to keep it underwraps that they were brothers. which is why I kept Taylor's bio private for a long time. Adding Taylor as Mac's older brother is one of my favorite additions tot he canvas. Not only does it mean he has connections in town, but also because of how Mac has talked about Taylor before. Always being there for him when he was in trouble...
Thanks for stopping by Dallas!!! [:
