Another solid episode.
I like how the episode started with David and Helen and we continued to see them living their seperate lives through out the rest of the episode. The opening scene though was very intense, though. David was right, the two never seem to fight about themselves it's always someone else within their world that they argue about. That in itself can lead to the end of relationships though. It was interesting because we still do not know where exactly they stand. David and Penelope's scenes were nice because he's so different than Helen is when she's at work. He comes across so caring and concerned where as Helen is an ice queen. I was worried for Natalie when she was asking for a job, but it's nice that she got one none the less (I'm sure pairing her with Oliver, whom she clearly clashes with will be interesting). Lastly, I liked both characters with their children. David and Gail shared a nice close moment and Helen tried to get closer to Kirsten and Megan. It does seem like Helen is trying, but I still think something has to give. Time will tell.
I also loved the scenes with Cassie and Mac. Clifton dropping in was perfect because of course he senses something is going on with them, even though their relationship has just been pure friendship up to this point. But if Lucian is going to be around Mac more, it makes sense that Clifton is wanting more information. Plus, it's clear he has feelings for Cassie as well.
I'm liking Aidan's presence in the town. Already he's coming up with some neat ideas that clearly will have some nice storylines coming up. I'm also curious as to why Dizzy never mentioned that she was a doctor to anyone. Is there something bigger going on?
Over all great episode. I thought it flowed beautifully.

I have never really explored the marriage between David and Helen and clearly it isn't going very well. When they met, they were two seperate people who shared a secret affair that kept them together and then when Gail left town, they were bonded once again. Now it seems that they've been drifting apart. Will they stay together? Or get a divorce? Only time will tell.
Incorprating the older generation is something that I have been struggling with. I have been wanting to show that they exist and have great impact on the younger generation without making it look so forced. There will be more scenes in the future with cross-generational influences. It's my favorite part of story telling.
Cassie and Mac is one of my favorite duos to write for currently. They have so much between them and yet there are still too much complications. Clifton/Cassie/Mac thing will definitely play out into a bigger storyline as the season comes to an end in December.
Just wait until you see what I have in store for Aidan. Fresh faces are going to get in the mix of things and it will surely be a shocker for Aidan. He is a smart kid when it comes to everyone else's problems.
Thanks Dallas[:
