Hi Michael!
I am back from my trip - I've missed a lot! I'm going to put my comments from all three episodes I missed into this one response, just to make it easier.
Episode 2.21 "Give in to Me"
I enjoyed the Jared/Marina confrontation because you knew it was going to happen sooner rather than later because of the article. I like when Marina can stand up for herself and not be a push over (which I felt like she was more back in the feuding days with Natalie). Jared is an interesting fellow though, all of his relationships seem to be at odds - there must be something more there than meets the eye. It's also a great twist that Marina is now up to get a promotion. After her talk with Ian, who doesn't seem to know up from down these days, I'm guessing she'll pass on the promotion. But it's still a great choice for her to make.
Ryan is a total snake! I love it! I love that he banged Natalie, which he knew would be no problem at all, to further his own agenda. For the first time in the entire series, I actually felt bad for Natalie. She's so hung up on him and she has no idea that he's playing her. Makes for some fantastic upcoming episodes!
With everyone heading back to Stone Creek, I have to imagine that eventually Imogene will head there as well. The scene before the opening credits was spooky - that she is now hanging out with Gavin. I wonder how this will effect Kirsten going forward once she's back at home.
The diamonds mystery is starting to become more appealing to me. I just hope it means Anita is coming back to Stone Creek. Scenes with her and Penelope would be amazing!
So Greta dumped Miles to follow her heart ... okay. I guess it makes sense. I'm just glad they're getting more air time. I hope this conflict isn't easily resolved!
Episode 2.22 "The Shade of Poison Trees"
Damien is an absolute jerk! I hope Gillian realizes what kind of man he is before she actually gets hitched to him. Her wanting to reach out to her family is sweet and I'm sure it will happen over time. I just can't believe he went to Patrick to get stock in the company. Patrick's play was great - but I'm wondering who Damien called after. Regardless, he's up to no good. And good for Caitlyn to throw him out and not give him any more chances! I loved that scene.
Cassie and Mac?
I loved their interactions together at school. They seem good together and already they'd have conflict as a potential couple after Audrey/Catalina and Inez. Neat twist! Even more so after Clifton basically ignored Cassie's request to get together.
Poor Charlene and Kevin. They seem so lost without each other but neither one can properly seem to communicate with each other to try to bring a resolution. The last scene where Charlene needed to drink to have sex with her husband was so telling, and so well written. Should be interesting to see what will happen once Melaine arrives.
I love the Ian/Ryan scene as well. Long over due, IMO. I've been waiting for it since Ryan came back to town! I love when they butt heads.
Episode2.23 "Catch Me When I Fall"
Interesting scenes with Adrian and Gail in this episode. I'm glad they're finally having a bit more storyline time as well (similar to Greta/Miles from a few episodes ago) and it's such a realistic story. Two people having a baby need space, their own space to raise the baby. I totally understand Adrian's side though of not wanting to use her family's money to do so. I love this twist in the storyline.
So Helen is turning over a new leaf? Seems like a bit of a stretch, but she's always been one of my favorite characters so I'm glad to see her on the screen. I'm still wondering if she has more motives behind this sudden request to be in Megan and Kirsten's life though.
So Aidan did come to town after all! That's great. Also I like how you made it clear for his sexuality. I'm wondering if his child will ever come to be a regular on the series! That could lead to some great stories. So much potential! I love it.
I knew that there'd be drama with Mac and Cassie right off the bat before anything romantic even was brought up! I'm loving this twist with these two being pulled together, so I hope they do move on but continue to struggle!
I've loved all three episodes Michael! You're doing a great job,
Dallas
